Welcome to Ken's Driving School

Whether you have never driven, or simply need “brush up” lessons to pass your road test, we can help! We know what the DPS road test examiners are expecting from you. We will tailor your lessons to help you pass your road test, while becoming a safer driver. We can also help you schedule your road test, if you like!

Lessons are formatted using the C.R.O.P. system formulated by Ken's Driving:

            C = Controlling your car with confidence!
            R = Rules of the road (understanding signage, lane usage, intersections, traffic lights, proper turns and stops, etc.)
            O = Observation (safely entering intersections and checking your blind spots)
            P = Parking (parallel, back-in, and curb parking on hills)

Understanding this simple system will help you learn safe driving habits and approach your road test with greater confidence! 

Our vehicles are well maintained and have special safety equipment installed. We use small hatchback cars that are easy to drive and park! We offer pick-up and drop-off for each lesson. You may purchase a single lesson or as many lessons as you like! We will tailor a program to your specific needs!

We believe Drivers Education should be educational and affordable. While you have the option of paying for all of your lessons up front, this is not required. You may pay for one lesson at a time if you like! Fees are collected at the beginning of each lesson. 

We accept cash or credit/debit cards (credit/debit cards are an additional $5.00 fee).

Note: There may be an additional nominal fee for pick-up and/or drop-off outside of our normal service area, or if lessons are needed before 8:30am or after 4:30pm, or on weekends and holidays.

Behind-the-Wheel Adult pricing

6 hour lesson package

This package contains three 2-hour lessons and focuses on our C.R.O.P. training system. It is designed for new or inexperienced students, or those who wish to learn at a more leisurely pace. This is also the perfect choice if you are REQUIRED to take 6 hours of lessons due to failing 4 road tests.

2 hour brush up lesson

If you are a student driver, or are already licensed but haven't driven in a while, this is a good choice for building confidence. We will focus specifically on what you want to work on (freeways, busy streets, parking, etc).

1 hour lesson

This is a good option if you want the instructor's help in determining your level of driving proficiency and to help gauge how many additonal lesson you might need.

1.5 hours

Similar to a one hour lesson, we will assess your driving proficiency, but we will also have more time to focus on specific areas needing improvement.

Adult behind the wheel


Our approach to teaching you how to drive will depend on how much behind the wheel practice you have had. We will customize your lessons based on your skill level.

If you have little or no behind the wheel experience, we will first teach you the basics of safely controlling the car. Once you have grasped this skill, we will teach you what you need to know to pass your road test and be a safer driver in the process. Remember, the road test is a combination of driving skill and knowledge.

We keep our cars in clean, good working order and have special equipment installed for your safety. Our cars are small hatch backs that are easy to park. At Ken's Driving, our patient and experienced instructors are committed to helping you get your driver’s license while training you become a safer driver in the process.
